Students Team Up to Protect Local Wildlife Through Art
We’re thrilled to share the incredible work our students have been doing during Afterschool activities—an inspiring community project led with the support of our talented teaching artist, Javier.
Over the past few weeks, students poured their creativity and heart into creating life-size paintings of the four types of turtles native to our region. Their goal? To help raise awareness about turtle conservation in our local community.
This week, they proudly presented their finished artwork to the Turtle Sanctuary and the Careyes Foundation. The response was overwhelming! These beautiful paintings will now be displayed at the sanctuary and used at local schools and events to help educate others about the importance of protecting our local wildlife.
We couldn’t be prouder of our students for their teamwork, creativity, and commitment to conservation. They’ve shown that even the youngest voices can make a powerful impact.
